Primary Function / Position Summary:
Traffic acts as the Liaison between Account Management and Creative—coordinating and communicating pertinent information to all team members. Traffic is the nerve center of the agency—scheduling all jobs, assigning creative teams, distributing work requests, and monitoring internal time, as well as managing outside costs and spearheading efforts to resolve any conflicts. Traffic manages the daily workflow of projects from conception through completion, ensuring that deadlines are met. Freelance assistance is determined by this group who have a real-time sense of workloads and needs. A weekly status meeting is held by the Traffic group—attendance is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Assigns Creative(s) team(s) and Designers to all presentations, pitches, and projects.
• Manage and oversee the timely flow of multiple projects from conception through completion in the department’s work queue.
• Confer with key team members to develop project plans, milestones and required tasks for each project.
• Develop and maintain time sensitive, up-to-date project timelines.
• Serve as a key liaison between Account Services, the Creative Department, Graphic Designers and Production Managers ensuring continuity, quality and accuracy of all projects.
• Coordinate and manage client presentation and pitch materials.
• Follow up to ensure project goals are being met, and provide direction and insightful solutions to issues when needed.
• Maintain overall quality by proofing all materials prior to routing and release.
• Obtain necessary approvals from required departments during the internal approval process.
• Controls the costs during the Creative Development process (research materials and presentation materials), keeping the account department informed of costs incurred on project budget and the management on costs incurred on the agency internal budget or pitch budget.
• Collects and keeps the overall information to be used by the creative department and studio (catalogues, digital data, templates, etc – he/she is “the creative department’s librarian”)
• Controlling all costs generated by the studio, freelance creative staff, and the creative department, as well as for all presentations and pitches.

Qualifications / Specific Skill Requirements:
• 2+ years of experience in project or traffic management within an advertising agency or in-house agency environment.
• Excellent organization and communication skills, with an exceptional eye for detail.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent written, oral and proofreading skills a must.
• Demonstrated ability to work as a team player.
• Proactive self-starter that can maintain an upbeat, positive attitude.
• Must be able to diplomatically enforce deadlines.
• Must be able to solve problems in an efficient and professional manner.
• Possess a strong work ethic and take pride in the quality of their work.
• Must have a flexible schedule to accommodate unpredictable deadlines.
• Willingness and ability to do what it takes to see project through to completion and meet tight deadlines.
• Ample knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and strong computer skills are required.
Educational Requirements:
• BA in Communications, English, or equivalent is preferred, but not required.
